Join us for our monthly Collective Sewing Community Gives event. Use and learn sewing skills while working on charitable projects! We will work on simple projects that can make a big difference in the lives of others.
In May, the Collective is partnering with the Assistance League of St. Louis. Assistance League is an all-volunteer, member-driven organization that puts caring and commitment into action through community-based philanthropic programs.
We will be collecting donations for their Project ROSE program. Project ROSE provides women and their children in secure shelters, women in transition services, or residential support programs with personal items, clothing, household, and special occasion items.
Bring the kids and help us make a massive amount of Pony Tail holders for these deserving women and children. We will also be collecting the following new, hygiene items: toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, and feminine products. Find out more at www.alstl.org
This is a drop in event - feel free to stay for a short time or the whole time. We're happy to have you help out in any way that you can!
All materials are provided, but we do ask for a $10.00 class fee to help with supply costs.
